Watch WWE Superstar John Cena Tear Up as He’s Surprised by Thankful Fans (Video)

If you’ve never seen a muscled pro wrestler cry, now’s your chance

WWE Superstar John Cena has sparked endless tears of joy among his millions of fans, but in a video released Monday, he’s the one that gets teared up.

The “SmackDown” star thought he was filming a segment for Cricket Wireless reading thank-you notes from fans, but they had a big surprise for him.

As newly-engaged Cena read heartfelt letters from followers telling him how much he’s impacted their lives — from giving them strength to battle illness or helping them get over the loss of a loved one — the tears also began tumbling down his cheeks.

While wearing a “Never Give Up” cap, Cena repeatedly read out the words he lives by in the numerous letters.

The last thank you note featured was in the form of a video by a child name Tyler Schweer, whose mother had breast cancer. Tyler mentioned how John gave him his wristband at a WWE event with the famous phrase. Tyler also said he gave this wristband to his Mom to help and told her to never give up.

Needless to say, our muscled mountain bawled as Tyler broke through the paper wall to see him.

But that was only the start, as one by one the letter writers all came out to surprise the “Trainwreck” actor in person, and get a giant bear hug.

“Just remember you guys are the ones that do the work … you lead by example,” Cena told them. “This is a championship squad right here.”

Watch the video above, and catch WWE “SmackDown” live from Brooklyn, New York, on USA Network at 8 p.m. ET tonight.
