Werner Herzog Would ‘Consider’ Directing ‘Child’s Play’ Film

If Brad Dourif could get him the gig, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker admits he would “take it seriously”

Director Werner Herzog's "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done" hits DVD on Sept. 14 and the German filmmaker was game to promote the upcoming release through First Look Studios' Twitter account on Monday.

Journalists and fans alike were invited to ask Herzog questions and his answers were videotaped and posted on YouTube.

The drama was exec produced by David Lynch, and stars his and Herzog's fellow Oscar nominees Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny and Brad Dourif.

TheWrap asked Herzog: "Werner, if Brad Dourif asked you to direct the next "Child's Play" movie, would you do it and what would you have Chucky do?"

Herzog answered by saying he would "instantly take it seriously and consider to do it." For his full response, check out the video above.
