Condoleezza Rice as Donald Trump’s running mate? No so fast, Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symoné said Wednesday on “The View.”
According to the ABC talker’s stablemate Jedediah Bila and an informal Twitter poll, conservatives most want Trump’s running mate to be George W. Bush’s Secretary of State.
“Guess what: She’s smart, she knows what she’s doing,” Bila opined.
Immediately the two comedians at the table, Goldberg and Joy Behar, jumped on the “which-is-exactly-what-the-Trump-campaign-needs” joke train.
Then Goldberg, the show’s moderator, put this out there: “I just remembered — isn’t Condoleezza black?”
“And isn’t she a woman as well?” a skeptical Raven-Symoné offered.
“I think we’re just coming off people’s freakout over eight years of having a black president,” a dismissive Whoopi continued, regarding why Rice will never happen.
They all then argued over whether or not Trump will actually show up to debate Hillary Clinton.
