Will Arnett is deepening his relationship with Netflix.

Arnett, who voices the title character in Netflix’s animated offering “BoJack Horseman” and starred as Gob in the Netflix revival of “Arrested Development,” has landed a new comedy series, “Flaked,” with Netflix.

In addition to starring in the series, Arnett co-created and co-wrote it with Mark Chappell (“The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret”), who is also executive producing the series with Arnett.

Set in Venice, Califonia, the series is described as “the serio-comic story of a self-appointed ‘guru’ who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel.”

Arnett will star as Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies.

Peter Principato and Mitch Hurwitz (“Arrested Development”) are also executive producing the Netflix production, for which Electus and Principato-Young are providing production services.

“We’re very excited to partner with Netflix — the home of original, original content — and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project,” Arnett said.

Added Netflix’s vice president of original content Cindy Holland, “We are thrilled to be the home of Will Arnett’s next series, and look forward to Chip joining his repertoire alongside such diverse and inspirational characters such as Gob, Bojack, and Batman.”

The series will premiere across all Netflix territories next year with eight episodes.
