The WWE has announced that Adam Rose — real name: Raymond Leppan — has been “suspended indefinitely” following a domestic violence arrest early Wednesday in Florida.
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence,” a spokesperson for the organization told TheWrap in a statement. “Per our policy, Raymond Leppan has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”
The 36-year-old wrestler was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on a battery domestic violence charge. He was also charged with tampering with a witness, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the arrest report, Rose and his wife were engaged in a verbal argument about “their marital problems” when Rose “grabbed the victim on each side of her face with his hands and pulled her face close to his while he screamed at her.”
When his wife called 911, Rose pulled the phone away from her, hence the tampering with a witness charge.
According to TMZ, Rose was suspended for 60 days from the WWE in April for violating the organization’s drug policy.
