WWE star Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, can add to his long list of wins: he’s the next mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

Jacobs, running as a Republican, defeated Democrat Linda Haney on Thursday to become the county’s 29th mayor, earning 31,739 votes to Haney’s 16,611. He secured his party’s nomination in May.

In Knox County, “mayor” is the title used by the county administrator. It is an entirely distinct office from the mayor of the city of Knoxville, the Knox County seat. Knoxville’s current mayor is Democrat Madeline Rogero.

WWE congratulated Jacobs for his win on Twitter:

Outside of politics, Jacobs has won numerous pro wrestling titles, including WWF Championship, ECW Championship, WWF Hardcore Championship, WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and WWF/WWE Intercontinental Championship. His pro wrestling character, Kane, also known as the Big Red Monster, is described as “a monstrous abomination that seems to have been extracted directly from your childhood nightmares” and is famous for setting things and opponents on fire.

A longtime libertarian, Jacobs ran on a platform that included tax cuts, education and improvements to infrastructure.
