Get ready for a new WWE Superstar … in about 20 years or so.
WWE Superstars Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan welcomed their first child on May 9 and shared footageof their future tag team partner on Friday.
“We finally wanted to say thank you for all your support, your prayers and all your cute, little messages about Birdie finally coming in,” Brie — who is one half of the Bella Twins with sister Nikki — said in a YouTube video.”It was a very crazy process and a very long labor, and I’m so lucky I had Bryan by my side the whole time and my sister who’s filming this right now, by my side the whole time, which was amazing. But at the end of something so hard and long, the most precious gift in the world came to us, so we couldn’t be happier.
“So, thank you for all your love and support. And Miss Birdie here, she will one day here soon say hi to all of you, but she’s sleeping right now, so we don’t want to wake her,” the “Total Divas” star added.
Bella married Daniel Bryan — whose real name is Bryan Lloyd Danielson — in 2014. He retired professional wrestling in 2016 due to medical issues (including seizures) arising from multiple concussions and a brain lesion. In July of that year, he was named the General Manager of SmackDown following the WWE Draft that separated the SmackDown and Raw brands.
This woman is a warrior,” Bryan said in the family video. “What she went through on Tuesday, never in my life could I do that. I’m just so thankful for all of you sending your well wishes and your support to us. It’s meant a lot and thank you very much.”
WWE has long been a family affair, with the McMahon family turning the entertainment sport into a dynasty. The majority owner, chairman and CEO of the WWE is third generation wrestling promoter (following in the footsteps of his grandfather Jess and father Vincent).
Meanwhile, Brie’s twin Nikki just accepted an in-ring marriage proposal from John Cena during WrestleMania last month, so stay tuned for more WWE offspring in the works.
