Fox Mulder, meet the Cigarette-Smoking Man; Cigarette-Smoking Man, meet Fox Mulder.
“The X-Files” may be ending (again) next week, but it’s not going away without a bang — or at least without David Duchovny‘s leading man finally meeting his longtime nemesis. In a new teaser dropped on Friday, Mulder brings a gun to an alien fight; one which he promptly puts to the bad guy’s dome. We’ll find out about the piece’s potential “bang” on Monday.
The video, which mixes never-before-seen finale footage with main-cast interviews, promises our heroes end up “in deep trouble.” Technically, it was Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) who promised that.
The duo will be surrounded by death on Monday, something even our protagonists may not escape. Back in real-life, Duchovny closes the featurette portion joking the main characters are “next in line” to perish.
