The YouTube community is mourning the death of 13-year-old YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley, who died on Thursday, though the cause of his death still remains a mystery.

“Caleb was a beloved member of the YouTube community and our thoughts are with his family at this time,” a YouTube spokesperson told TheWrap.

A spokeswoman for the Anne Arundel County, Maryland, police department told TheWrap on Monday that authorities responded to the family home in Arnold, Maryland, for a “medical emergency.” Caleb was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no signs of drugs or violence at the scene, and the police are no longer investigating the death.

The family adopted the name Bratayley when Annie began posting daily vlogs in 2010 about her children, including Caleb and his younger sisters Annie and Haley. At the time of this publishing, the family’s YouTube channel has more than 1.6 million subscribers.

Caleb also had his own channel, FlimsyArrow, on which he posted videos about playing the video game Minecraft. That channel has more than 113,000 subscribers.

Fellow YouTube stars including Gabe Erwin, Shay Carl and Nikki Phillippi took to social media to express their grief and condolences about the YouTube star’s death.
