Mariah Carey Releases Obama Tribute Song ‘Bring It On Home’ (Audio)

"American Idol" judge Mariah Carey celebrates Obama's reelection by literally breaking into song

As if President Barack Obama doesn't have enough to celebrate on Wednesday, now Mariah Carey has released a song in his honor.

New "American Idol" judge Carey released her pro-Obama song "Bring It On Home" on Wednesday. Though Carey has performed the song previously, the release of the song the day after Obama won a second term in the White House gives the song a special weight.

The song lyrics reflect the spirit of unity, perseverance and hope that Obama promoted during the campaign, and in Tuesday night's victory speech.

"We just everyday people, tryin' to make it through the pain/Yet we intentionally hurt each other playing silly games," the song goes. "But when it comes down to win or lose, don't give up the fight/'Cause strength is what we need and love can save our lives."

A lovely sentiment — even if Carey's vocal register occasionally reaches a level where only dogs will hear it.
