Adam Rodriguez is ready to slay dragons, and maybe a few Lyons, in a new look at his character on Fox’s “Empire.”
Rodriguez plays Laz Delgado, a concert promoter who agrees to work with Cookie’s newly formed Lyon Dynasty. Along the way, the two develop some serious chemistry.
In a behind the scenes moment, Henson admits that she had trouble staying focused due to Rodriguez’s good looks. “Just joking. Adam is ugly!” she jokes.
Based on the preview clip, it looks like Cookie’s new business venture attracts some unwanted attention and Delgado steps in to lend a hand. In the midst of all the chaos, Delgado makes a move on Cookie that ultimately leads to a romance made in hip-hop heaven.
“Empire” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m./8c on Fox.
