Adele Pays Tribute to Paris at First Concert in 4 Years (Video)

Tuesday’s performance at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall marks the first time she’s sung in concert since 2011

Adele performed her 2008 song, “Hometown Glory,” at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday while images of the Eiffel Tower and Paris were shown on the screen behind her.

The sold-out performance served as a tribute to Paris, a city that was shook by multiple terrorist attacks last Friday that left 129 people dead and injured hundreds more.

The singer also performed her hit single, “Hello” and another song from her new “25” album titled “When We Were Young.” She also debuted her song, “Water Under the Bridge.”

The concert will be broadcast on NBC on Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. ET. It marks the first time the singer has performed in concert since 2011.

“Hello” logged a staggering 1.11 million downloads in its first week, a record for the most downloads in a single week, according to Billboard.

Those numbers nearly double the previous record, set by Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” which earned 636,000 downloads in a single week in February 2009.
