‘Because I Got High’ Rapper Afroman Punches Woman on Stage (Video)

He was booked for assault, and released after paying a $330 bond

“Because I Got High” rapper Afroman decked a woman on stage during a concert on Tuesday because he got angry. Or can’t control his reflexes, according to his representative.

A video taken at the event in Biloxi, Mississippi surfaced shortly after the incident, during which the musician, real name Joseph Edgar Foreman, suddenly swats a woman dancing on stage behind him in the middle of a guitar solo. After knocking the woman to the ground, he continues playing.

“This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space,” Afroman’s rep said in a statement to the media. “It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.”

According to Biloxi police, Afroman was arrested for assault, booked and released after paying a $330 bond.
