Netflix Drops 2 Trailers for Amanda Knox Doc: ‘Believe Her’ and ‘Suspect Her’ (Videos)

Which side are you on?

Netflix has shared two distinct trailers for its upcoming “Amanda Knox” documentary — one teaser titled “Believe Her” and a second named “Suspect Her.”

Readers can watch the “Believe Her” video above and the “Suspect Her” version at the bottom of this post. The latter gets a bit chilling.

“That’s everyone’s nightmare,” Amanda Knox, who participated, hauntingly says of her circumstances in the “Suspect Her” promotional vehicle. “Either I’m a psychopath in sheep’s clothing, or I am you.”

In other words, Knox is either a cold-blooded murderer, or a completely innocent scapegoat in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Netflix Original Documentary was directed by Rod Blackhurst and Brian McGinn. It is produced by Mette Heide.

Twice convicted and twice acquitted by Italian courts of the brutal killing of her British roommate Meredith Kercher, Knox became the subject of global speculation as around-the-clock media attention fed the public’s fascination through every twist and turn of the near-decade-long case.

Featuring access to people involved and never-before-seen archival material, the film shifts between past and present. In addition to Knox, other interviews include those with her former co-defendant and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, Italian prosecutor Giuliano Mignini and Daily Mail reporter Nick Pisa.

The doc also explores the following question, per Netflix: “As a hunger for salacious and exciting news stories grows, what role do we all play in the perpetuation and the creation of ‘front page’-ready narratives?”

“Amanda Knox” drops on Netflix September 30. It debuts at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) tomorrow.
