‘Arrow’ Season 4 Trailer Teases Oliver’s Return, Arrivals of Damien Darhk and Constantine (Video)

Stephen Amell superhero drama returns in October on The CW

The first trailer for Season 4 of The CW’s “Arrow” has been released, teasing an Oliver Queen as far from the masked vigilante as we’ve ever seen him.

Having driven off into the sunset with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) in the Season 3 finale, it’s not surprising that the first footage from Season 4 sees Oliver (Stephen Amell) giving being a normal civilian — without the responsibilities of protecting a city from the forces of evil — for once.

Of course, this honeymoon period can’t last forever, and the newly renamed Star City (in memory of Ray Palmer, R.I.P.) needs the Arrow back. With Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and other new faces arriving in town, Oliver has his work cut out for him.

The nearly two-minute trailer also introduces plenty of the new characters coming to “Arrow” in Season 4, including Echo Kellum as Mr. Terrific, JR Bourne as the villain Double Down and Matt Ryan, reprising his role as John Constantine following the cancellation of NBC’s “Constantine.”

“Arrow” returns on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
