Petition for the Release of Roman Polanski

Roman Polanski served 42 days 32 years ago. Roman Polanski did not flee his punishment - he flew in the face of Injustice - the metaphoric rape that was occurring against him in the County of Los Angeles Santa Monica Courthouse And Two Rapes don't make a right.

The People of California and the World should be extremely grateful to Roman Polanski for holding out against Injustice that he was facing at Santa Monica Courthouse, California.

If Roman Polanski hadn't held out against injustice we would ALL be in the dark about Injustice occurring at Santa Monica Courthouse.

BUT FOR POLANSKI'S ACTION - THE INJUSTICE AT COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES SANTA MONICA COURTHOUSE - WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE VISIBLE AND WOULD HAVE REMAINED INVISIBLE AND COVERED UP.

If the Injustice remained under wraps and invisible - then no steps would ever be taken to rectify the Injustice that is occurring against the World's people in the County of Los Angeles Santa Monica Courthouse.

If Polanski had let himself be compromised by Injustice, and had given in to Injustice - then Injustice will continue to flourish in Santa Monica County of Los Angeles Courthouse with a Justice that is a bully, and a Justice that is not blind.

So bottom line INJUSTICE

As a survivor of sexual abuse, I am deeply sadded that we are making roman polanski into the victum. The 13yr old girl that is now a grown woman forgave him because it was part of her process of healing. The reason she wants this to be over is bring this up is retraumatizing her. Apparently California State lawmaker Gloria Romero and 14 other legislators have written a letter in support of the extradition of Roman Polanski to Los Angeles, saying the effort makes an important statement about the seriousness of domestic violence.


I am sure California State Lawmaker Gloria Romero’s heart is in the right place. Perhaps she should focus more on California Official, Police and Judicial cover up of sexual assault in California as official cover up of sexual assault in California’s High Schools, & Universities is far more insidious, and potentially deadly.

Also in California people seem to care so little about sexual assault they won't even pick up a phone to call the police when it is staring them in the face in Richmond.

Also California State Legislator Gloria Romero is misrepresenting the totality of the circumstances. 

It is not true that Roman Polanski flew away from Santa Monica California to escape punishment because he had already returned to America from Europe once to comply with Judge Laurence J. Rittenband and served 42 days, and Chino prison officials said he should serve no further prison time. 



We do know that Roman Polanski served his sentence at Chino of 42 days, and so
from that completion – and if we believe that Roman Polanski would have completed any other reasonable sentence if Roman Polanski had not run into Injustice and illegal coercion by County of Los Angeles Santa Monica Judge Laurence J. Rittenband

In one sense Roman Polanski can be considered a hero in the face of Injustice because he did not give in to it.

The current Los Angeles DA Steve Cooley has forgotten the reason the plea bargain arrangement was struck 32 years ago by the victim’s lawyer Laurence Silver, the prosecutor Roger Gunson, and Polanski’s lawyer Douglas Dalton, which was to avoid a trial and avoid further humiliation of the victim and her family through media coverage.

Roman Polanski has been forgiven by the victim a long time ago, but not by the Los Angeles DA Steve Cooley. And certain Swiss took the opportunity to capitalized on Roman Polanski in the most sordid and dégoûtant manner using a film festival to arrest him where he was about to be honored for his life’s work in film.

Roman Polanski, a Frenchman, is being used as a scapegoat for America’s Judicial sins, and is currently being used to entertain the masses along with the alleged victim, through his predicament, and her predicament in having to live the whole thing over again 32 years later.

Has Los Angeles entered the Twilight Zone?

What is not being discussed in any length is that Santa Monica Judge Laurence J. Rittenband (deceased), is guilty of metaphorically raping Roman Polanski and discriminating against him and not treating him like everyone else in California since he is not and was not an American Citizen in 1978.

The Santa Monica Courthouse Judge was able to wield leverage over Roman Polanski if Polanski did not agree to give up his legal rights to fight deportation which Judge Laurence J. Rittenband was demanding. What Judge Rittenband was doing in coercing Polanski to agree to deportation is illegal.

Polanski if he had stayed in America- would have faced a never ending prison term from this Judge which would continue - until Polanski agreed to be deported.

This is how Judge Rittenband was able to (metaphorically) rape Roman Polanski, and put Polanski between a rock and a hard place– Judge Laurence J. Rittenband used illegal leverage on Polanski to eviscerate Polanski's legal rights, and erase his choice to dispute deportation.

When there is no choice, and only force, then either a rape or a metaphoric rape occurs!!!!!! Judge Rittenband raped Polanski by taking away his right and his choice to fight deportation.

Bottom Line - Two Rapes don’t make a right, and Los Angeles is also raping the original victim and her family now, and re-victimizing her - in continuing this Roman spectacle when she doesn’t want any part of it.

Santa Monica Courthouse Judge Laurence J. Rittenband’s abuse of power towards Roman Polanski 32 years ago, is the root cause of the current problems.

But the Los Angeles DA starting up this case again against Polanski, after a 32 years lapse, is evidence of a retaliation - since Polanski’s California lawyers filed appeal papers in the California Appellate Court requesting that Appeal Court drop the case against Polanski to include that the Los Angeles had not attempted to arrest or extradite Polanski in 30 years, and these Court papers were filed prior to Polanski’s arrest.

In requesting Polanski’s extradition after 32 years – the Los Angeles DA is emulating Roman Polanski’s China Town in waiting until the man is 76 years old before choking him.

The Los Angeles DA has forgotten the reason the plea bargain arrangement was struck 32 years ago by the victim’s lawyer, the prosecutor and Polanski’s lawyer, was to avoid a trial and avoid further humiliation of the victim through media coverage.

Roman Polanski ,who is not American, is being used as a scapegoat for all of America's sins as if he is was the only person in America who allegedly acted on his attraction to a pretty girl who was just too young.

In addition Judge Rittenband, god bless his cotton socks, is guilty of metaphorically raping and discriminating against Roman Polanski by wielding his illegal leverage over Polanski, which the Judge could do by virtue of the fact that Polanski was not an American Citizen - if Polanski did not give up his legal rights to fight deportation as per the Judge’s request - Polanski would have faced an uncertain & longer prison term from this Judge.

This was how Judge Rittenband could rape Roman Polanski, and put Polalnski between a rock and a hard place– by using illegal leverage to vaporize Polanski's legal rights and choice to dispute deportation.It is not right – even if Polanski was facing a sentence for statutory rape – for the Judge to rape Polanski in turn, an Eye for an Eye or in this case a Rape for a Rape, by taking away Polanski's right to dispute deportation by threatening him with a longer prison term.

Everyone wants to focus on the alleged crime of the now 45 year old woman, the Los Angeles Times is printing all the alleged intimate details from 30 yeara ago, against the victim's will.This publishing of the details - rapes  the victim again because the reprinting of the intimate details is against her will.  The district attorneys will plow down the victim and her family, and  they don't care a damn about the human cost  to get their man, a notch on the belt. Roman Polanski ,who is not American is being used as a scapegoat for all of America's sins as if he is was the only person in America who might do such a thing.To start this after a 32 years lapse seems particularly lame & insane. It might have made sense a lot earlier.  Now it seems ridiculous and callous.In addition it seems that everyone is in denial that there could possibly have been any  JUDICIAL MISCONDUCT TOWARDS ROMAN POLANSKI .  BUT THERE WAS - AND THAT JUDICIAL MISCONDUCT IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE CURRENT PROBLEM.

Everyone is saying that Roman Polanski took flight but that is not entirely true since he was permitted by the Judge to film in Europe and returned to America when asked to do so before he served 42 days.  So this whole business that he wanted to flee and did not want to take the punishment cannot be true because he returned to America once for his punishment and served 42 days.

California Gov Arnold should be aware -  that Polanski was never treated like everyone else in the Santa Monica Courthouse in the 1970's and worse than that - he was discriminated against because he was not American Citizen in how he was treated in the sentencing phase, and because of his fame.

The judge, Laurence J. Rittenband was illegally threatening Polanski, to agree to deportation and if he did not agree he would have to face a longer sentence.

If Polanski had been an American Citizen he would not have had to face this cruel unusual and illegal coercive punishment where the Judge was forcing Polanski to agree to deportation, and illegally wielding leverage over Polanski because Polanski was not an American Citizen  - if Polanski did not give up his rights to fight deportation  - he would have faced a longer prison term from this Judge.

If Polanski had been American he would not have had a legitimate need to fly the coup in the face of Injustice in Los Angeles, China Town Santa Monica Style and Judicial Sin & Spin.

Oh, come on. It's not a big deal. If you don't think some teens and pre-teens are sexually precocious and even calculating, you haven't been out of the house much. This girl had gone through sexual affairs with two boys before she even met Polanski.

The claim is that she said no. And of course, it's against the law to have sex with a 13-year-old (at least in that state). But people claim all kinds of things. Now the girl, a grown woman, is claiming it wasn't a big deal. First it's rape - then it's no big deal. We weren't there, so we can only rely on emotional and changing claims made by people with their own interests. It doesn't make a damn.

That leaves the formal law - and only the formal law. But...32 years later they extradite an overseas foreign citizen for a statutory rape the prosecution of which the so-called "victim" opposes? It's that a little, uh, zealous? While real and damaging crimes are committed by current American citizens in California that they go scot-free for? Isn't that, uh, a little out of balance?

Leave the dude alone. No one that I know of is alleging he ever "raped" (big quotation marks) anyone else. The man is entirely harmless.

Regarding Los Angeles's prosecutorial misconduct in the Roman Polanski case in 1977...and now.

If Roman Polanski's former prosecutor David Wells now says he lied about his influencing Roman Polanski's judge Laurence J. Rittenband when he appeared in the 2006 movie Polanski - Wanted and Desired, then David Wells also lied to the New York Times published on 7/17/2008 in an article entitled "Polanski Asks Prosecutor To Review Film's Claims" by Michael Ciepley.

According to the New York Times, Roman Polanski's former prosecutor David Wells had a telephone conversation from his home on 7/15/2008, where David Wells denied that his contact with Judge Laurence J Rittenband had been improper, stating it occurred in open court during routine discussions of cases.

“I didn’t tell him [Judge Rittenband] to do it or that he should do it,” Mr. Wells said of the judge’s decision to put Mr. Polanski in prison for 42 days for psychiatric review. “I just told him what his options were.”

Los Angeles Prosecutor David Wells just lost his credibility, and could have influenced Judge Laurence J. Rittenband despite his admission to making up a story...

Because not only has David Wells admitted that he lied to the makers of the documentary Polanski Wanted and Desired but also he lied to the New York Times in July 2008 if in fact David Wells was lying?

Is it possible that former Roman Polanski Prosecutor David Wells was not lying. David Wells may have thought that the Roman Polanski case would never see the light of day. But regardless - whatever Prosecutor David Wells says now - he is no longer credible, and that points to prosecutorial misconduct.

In addition David Wells said he lied in the Polanski documentary because he was told by the film’s makers that the documentary was to air only in France but this is disputed by Marina Zenovich the documentary director.

In addition David Wells's justification for admitting to lying in the documentary – that David Wells did not think the documentary would be aired in the United States cannot be true because he also gave an identical story to the New York Times over the telephone from his home in July 2008.

For those that don't know the New York Times is not based in France.

G Bone, nice that you have a vivid imagination. Did you forget that Polanski pleaded guilty and admitted he raped a 13-year-old child? You can't claim he was set up when Polanski himself admits his guilt. He just doesn't think he should be punished for it.

Polanski was a friend of her boyfriend, so it wasn't like the mom was sending her with a stranger. And Polanski picked her up at her house; the mom didn't drop her off anywhere. The mom had asked to come along, but Polanski said no. Samantha has sex 2 times before in her life, with a boy a year older than her, not with "men". Not that it matters, because you don't have to be a virgin to be raped. Samantha said no and she asked to be taken home. It doesn't matter if she tried to run or not, saying no meant he should have stopped. The police were called after she got home. The main thing is that Polanski admitted to the facts of the case. He's not claiming he was innocent, just that the judge may have sentenced him to jail and Polanski didn't want to go.

So this is about a dope of a mother leaving her tempting child at Jack Nicholson's house. It is for parents to be aware that some children are highly sexual and Samantha was one of them.

Angelica Huston was in Jack Nicholson's house at the time- and so the child - Samantha Geimer could have screamed, or ran out of the house for help from a neighboring home IF SHE WERE THAT FRIGHTENED. I think that is something she is making up, something her mother told her to say - since she doesn't want to prosecute him now. If Samantha were that frightened I would think she would still want to prosecute him for what he did to her.

The mother was asking for trouble in leaving her underage daughter at a stranger's house.

The County of LA DA should lock up half of California and half of Europe as this kind of thing happens all the time, and if it doesn't happen all the time now - it certainly did in the 1960's, and Polanski should not be punished as the mother set him up and he knew no better - as this was NORMAL in France.

Roman Polanski has already been punished enough i. He was locked away for 42 days of psychiatric care in LA of all places.

Linking discrimination against 30's American actress Francis Farmer and now Roman Polanski with their unpopular perspectives - since Francis Farmer wrote that God was dead , and Polanski made a film about the devil, which seems to parallel the real world he lives in.

Is there an unconscious need- to seek him out so as to punish him not only for sexual assault, but also for MURDER of his wife and child too, not because he actually MURDERED her but because He made films about the DEVIL.

Strangely enough the real person Susan Atkins who murdered Roman Polanski's wife Sharon Tate and their baby died in a California jail only DAYS before Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland.

Was Los Angeles waiting for the real killer - Susan Atkins to die - before starting their WITCHHUNT.

Susan Atkins (the murderer of Polanski's wife) at trial said, ''I don't know how many times I stabbed (Sharon Tate) and I don't know why I stabbed her,'' she said. ''She kept begging and pleading and begging and pleading and I got sick of listening to it, so I stabbed her.''

Is Roman Polanski being DEMONIZED now - simply because he has been close to so much tragedy in his life and rather than empathizing with this person Polanski - people want to blame him for all his tragedies - and somehow make it his fault? Nothing like re-victimizing the victim. It is so commonplace it is frightening.

As far as the 32 year old statutory rape crime - you would need to lock up most of Europe for the type of crime Polanski committed as it happens all the time in France, Amsterdam, Germany and elsewhere.I don't condone it at all, but it does makes Roman Polanski being singled out 30 years later by a different culture in a different time frame and stoned with all this verbal abuse as though he is the only male on the planet that does this - disgusting and really frightening - and it is not as though Roman Polanski murdered anyone it was Susan Atkins that murdered his American wife Sharon Tate. This country forgives Ted Kennedy for killing a girl while he was driving, why won't this county forgive Roman Polanski for sexual assault 32 years later, when his victim has forgiven him, she may have already received a financial settlement, and when the California Judge played around with the plea bargain and frightened Polanski who was predisposed to run because of his childhood spent - running from the Nazis.

In addition why does California want to put ALL the artists out of business with these horrendous Media lawsuits, and California has already driven film production away. And look at what Michael Jackson had to go through with these public legal circuses. And look where Michael Jackson is now.

As far as Nazis vs. L.A. justice system, that is just silly. The man was in his mid-40s. He certainly could tell the difference. Do you think all survivors flee the law? He didn't want to give up his wealthy lifestyle, despite the fact that he did commit the crime. So he ran, just like many other criminals have, who don't want to be incarcerated. His advantage was that he had ties to European countries and enough money to live a comfortable life.

At any point in the past 30+ years, he could have returned to the U.S. and made this right. He might have gotten some very favorable considerations, especially by turning himself in. The authorities made a ridiculously favorable deal to Polanski and then had some discussion that it wasn't going to go through. boohoo. Guy had a tough childhood? boohoo... so do lots of other criminals. Admitted, convicted pedophilic rapist fled sentencing... end of story. Capture, sentence and incarcerate. The documentary film about this case whitewashes Polanski. He is cast as a victim. A rich man who was set up by some 13-year old tart and her greedy mother. The mother furnished the drugs and gave permission for the film shoot just to entrap poor Polanski. Then, this nefarious pair bilked Polanski out of money according to the film's slant.

I suspect that certain Hollywood elites are terrified a similar plot might succeed against them if the community doesn't protest. What if some other lowlife con artist targets them?
