Australian Terry Peck — better known as rapper “2Pec” — was arrested Sunday after attempting to dine and dash following a luxurious seafood feast.

According to Australian news, Peck chowed down on $621.30 worth of seafood at Omeros Bros restaurant in Main Beach, including two whole lobster, baby octopus and 21 oyster shooters — and then tried to skip out on the bill by jumping into the ocean. He hid underwater for a bit before being apprehended by a jet ski-riding officer.

Peck told police he ran out of the restaurant not to avoid the bill, but to help a friend who was about to give birth on the beach. That friend could not be located.

He told media assembled at the scene that he wouldn’t return to the restaurant, finding the food “overpriced” and saying “the lobster was a bit overcooked.” However, restaurant manager Robert Rank told Australian media that Peck ate 15 of the 21 shooters.

One of 2Pec’s hits,  “Ozi Ozi Ozi Oy Oy Oy,” takes aim at Australia’s high taxes. The magistrate whom the rapper faced the next day couldn’t believe his appetite.

“Oh God, by himself?,” Magistrate Joan White told Australian news, when she was informed about his order.

Peck will return to court May 4.
