The “Barbershop” gang is back and tackling serious issues in the first trailer for “Barbershop 3: The Next Cut.”
This time around, Calvin (Ice Cube) and Angie (Regina Hall) have combined their respective haircutting operations to form one super barbershop for both men and women.
While there are plenty of laughs and antics among the cast that also includes Cedric the Entertainer, Anthony Anderson, JB Smoove, Lamorne Harris, Sean Patrick Thomas, Deon Cole and newcomers Common and Nicki Minaj, the film will also tackle a serious and topical issue: increased violence on the streets of Chicago.
“Barbershop 3” was directed by Malcolm D. Lee and written by Kenya Barris. It will be released on Apr. 15, 2016.
