James Corden Turns Beyonce Lyrics Into Soap Opera Starring Adam Scott, Meg Ryan (Video)

Trio makes lemonade out of “Lemonade”

How easy is it to write a soap opera? Apparently, Beyonce already did one — and she probably doesn’t even know it.

James Corden roped guests Adam Scott and Meg Ryan into acting out an all-Queen-Bey-lyrics soap opera on Monday, and it actually played pretty well, given the obvious limitations. Plot-wise, the “Late Late Show” host ended up the scorned lover in the triangle, as Scott and Ryan gave us all an affair to remember.

All of your favorite Beyonce lyrics are accounted for, like Ryan’s mic-dropping moment: “If you liked it, then you should have put a ring on it.”

“You’re acting kinda shady/You ain’t calling me baby/Why the sudden change?” the CBS personality started the whole thing, before discovering his hidden rival.

All three teamed up for “Uh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh” stuff from “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” Then the two guys got to do the “Flawless” call and repeat by themselves — that was a fun moment.

Scott — the standout of the sketch — nearly blows the whole thing at one point but bringing in Lady Gaga lyric. Silly fella; he’d apologize for the mishap.

Corden gets the last word(s), all from Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious.” Beyonce and the girls would be proud of the sass.

The last laugh, however, went to Ryan and Scott, who are clearly “Crazy in Love.”
