The Gotham Group has optioned the popular new crime novel “Dodgers” by Bill Beverly and attached music-video veteran Nabil Elderkin to direct.

Beverly’s first novel, “Dodgers” was published by Crown on April 5 and is a unique urban caper — a coming-of-age tale about loyalty, betrayal and family ties set within hip-hop culture.

Elderkin has worked for years with top hip-hop artists, including Kanye West and Frank Ocean, and he directed the acclaimed “Game Before the Game” film presented by Beats by Dre.

Gotham is in the midst of making “The Death Cure,” the third in the popular “Maze Runner” franchise, though production has temporarily been suspended while Dylan O’Brien recovers from injuries that he sustained during filming in Vancouver, B.C.

Gotham, Beverly and Elderkin are repped by CAA. Beverly’s lit agent is Alia Hanna Habib of McCormick & Williams.
