Bindi Irwin Loses It After Emotional ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Tribute to Late Father (Video)

Daughter of “The Crocodile Hunter” scores rave reviews from ABC judges

Bindi Irwin Dancing With the Stars

(Spoiler alert: Don’t read on if you have not watched Monday’s episode of “Dancing With the Stars”)

Crikey, there’s no way Bindi Irwin was going to get eliminated from “Dancing With the Stars” after a moment like that.

The daughter of “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin paid tribute to her dad on Monday’s finale – Part 1, when she and partner Derek Hough pulled off a lovely interpretation of “Footprints in the Sand.” The dance ended with Irwin and Hough looking back at an old family photo, at which point Irwin lost it.

Bindi wept and fell into Hough’s arms, ensuring that any dry eye in the house didn’t remain that way for long. The judges cried through their high praise, and Bindi’s mom — Steve’s widow — was an understandable mess.

Despite two consecutive weeks of earning perfect scores, Big Time Rush singer Carlos PenaVega and his partner, Witney Carson, were ousted from the competition last night.

Now, Irwin, Nick Carter and U.S. National Army guardsman Alek Skarlatos are left competing for the top prize in the season-ending show on Tuesday.
