Former “The Price Is Right” host Bob Barker is recovering after taking a nasty spill near his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told TheWrap.

The spokesman said that police officers were in the neighborhood and watched Barker trip and hit his head in the 1800 block of Outpost Drive in Hollywood. The 91-year-old talk-show host, who suffered lacerations to his head, was transported to a local hospital where he was treated. The spokesman said that Barker is expected to recover.

According to TMZ, Barker was released and is now at home recuperating.

Barker retired from “The Price Is Right” in 2007, but has made rare appearances on the show since then, most recently as an April Fool’s Day host this year.

In addition to his game-show duties, he’s also done some acting, appearing as himself in the 1996 film “Happy Gilmore” and voicing an episode of “Futurama” in 2000.
