Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Cousin Releases ‘Pray for BK’ Song (Video)

Inspirational offering comes as Whitney Houston’s daughter fights for her life

As Bobbi Kristina Brown fights for her life in the hospital, her cousin, Jerod Brown, is sending prayers her way via song — and he’s asking others to do the same.

Brown has released the music video for the song “Pray for BK,” a tribute to the troubled 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and deceased singer Whitney Houston.

The Shawn King-directed video features lyrics such as, “I never thought that it would come to this/Speaking on behalf of my cousin Kris” and “While she’s alive, I’m praying to the skies, and for that I don’t need your permission.”

Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma after being found face-down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on Jan. 31. Doctors reportedly attempted to wean her off the drugs that were keeping her in the coma, only to reverse course when she began to suffer seizures.

On March 3, Brown’s 22nd birthday, Patricia Houston, president of Whitney Houston‘s estate, issued a message that Bobbi Kristina is “still fighting for the battle of her life.”

“Today is Bobbi Kristina’s 22nd birthday and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life,” Houston wrote in the statement.

Watch Jerod Brown pay tribute to his cousin in the video.
