Stephen Colbert Creates Candy Crush Movie Starring Liam Neeson (Video)

“Taken” star and late-night host play father and son in parody of mobile game

Liam Neeson uses his particular set of skills to help Stephen Colbert turn addictive mobile game Candy Crush into a dramatic film.

The “Taken” star and the late-night host played father and son in a “Late Show” parody of the game, which doesn’t turn out so well for Neeson, who faces certain death after a candy cane pierces his chest.

“As our people say, I am out of moves,” Neeson said. “Not even a triple color bump combo could save me now.”

Neeson went on to lament the fact that he didn’t spend enough time with his son. “I spent my best years crushing candy,” he said. “And yes, as I crushed, I would sometimes think, ‘This is a huge waste of time.’ I could be reading a book or anything, but I kept on going.”

Colbert tried to pay attention, but the game is just too distracting. There’s always that one level you can just never beat.
