CBS Television Studios has named Bryan Seabury the new senior vice president of drama development for broadcast and cable programming, TheWrap has learned.

Seabury takes over for Julie McNamara, who was named the new head of programming for CBS All Access earlier on Monday. In his new position, Seabury will oversee the development and creation of all primetime drama series for broadcast and cable networks as well as streaming services. He will report to David Stapf, president of CBS Television Studios.

“I’ve worked with Bryan for nearly 10 years at both the Network and Studio. His exceptional creativity and dedication make him one of the most respected and trusted executives in the industry,” Stapf said. “In addition to his creative talent, he’s worked on both the buying and selling side, providing great perspective to all the key constituents we produce for.”

Previously as vice president of drama series for CBS Television Studios, Seabury was part of the team behind the development of CBS’ “The Good Wife” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” as well as The CW’s “90210,” “Melrose Place” and “Life Unexpected.”

Prior to that, he served as a vice president of TV development for Mark Johnson‘s Gran Via Productions, where he developed and served as a producer on “Love Monkey” for CBS.
