Chrissy Teigen is tackling a couple of sobering issues these days: The damage that alcohol can do to one’s life, and the relentless negativity of internet haters.

“Lip Sync Battle” star Teigen called out her detractors Monday night, after apparently encountering some negative comments directed her way after she detailed her issues with booze in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

Teigen got blunt about her battle with the bottle in the Cosmo interview, published Monday. Telling the publication that she had recently attended a wellness retreat, Teigen divulged, “I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine … Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there’s just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It’s not a good look for me, for [husband] John [Legend], for anybody.”

What might be lauded as a brave admission by some was apparently met with harsh reaction by some commenters, as Teigen shared on her Twitter account.

“She’s always got issues with someone [trump] and doesn’t mind shooting her big mouth off. I’m betting it’s gotten her in hot water more than once,” one comment shared by Teigen read. “She’s what, a model? She knows nothing about politics, or Washington and yet she’s running her ignorant mouth about what she has zero knowledge of on a daily basis. She’s very unpolished and crass, behavior that most mimics a drunk. Which, come to find out, she is.”

Another comment appeared to accuse Teigen of being “overly melodramatic.”

“Frankly my suspicion is that she is being overly melodramatic again, bout her depression, she certainly never looked or acted as if she was genuinely suffering with it, after giving birth, she was always in the media showing off her lady parts and the baby, and she still is.”

“I dunno how you can be this mean,” Teigen lamented of the comments.

Teigen, who has a one-year-old daughter with singer Legend, has discussed her struggle with alcohol in the past. In 2013, she tweeted, “I feel like if I say this publicly, the chances of me succeeding will rise. I, am going sober. First for a month, then taking it from there.”
