Colin Firth Trains Future Super-Spies in New ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ Trailer (Video)

The Matthew Vaughn comic book adaptation will be released on Feb. 13, 2015

Colin Firth is the most dapper and badass uncle ever in the new trailer released from Matthew Vaughn‘s comic book adaptation “Kingsman: The Secret Service.”

Firth plays Harry Hart, the kind of guy who walks around in a nice suit and uses an umbrella as a walking stick. He tries to impart some words of wisdom on Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin (played by newcomer Taron Egerton), only to be interrupted by some of Eggsy’s more unsavory acquaintances.

That’s when Harry transforms from a middle-aged gentleman into a killing machine, knocking the gang out one-by-one with fists, nearby beer mugs and that umbrella, which is both a bullet-proof protector and a stun gun.

Soon Eggsy is introduced into the world of Kingsman, an international super-spy agency where initiation tasks include jumping out of an airplane missing a parachute, being tied to railroad tracks and dorm rooms filling up with water while everyone is asleep.

But on the other side, you end up something like Colin Firth, so it’s a fair trade-off.

“Kingsman: The Secret Service” will be released on Feb. 13, 2015.
