‘Daredevil’: First Look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Costume (Photo)

Marvel Netflix series’ sophomore season premieres March 18

In a new “Daredevil” Season 2 poster released Tuesday, The Punisher looks all kinds of bad ass in his trademark costume.

This marks fans’ first look at The Punisher, a.k.a Frank Castle, sporting his signature skull across the chest and black trenchcoat.

Jon Bernthal will play the Marvel anti-hero in this season of “Daredevil,” in which he will be on a collision course with Charlie Cox‘s title character. This season will also introduce Elodie Young as Elektra, a formidable opponent in her own right and Daredevil’s love interest.

The series also stars Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), and Scott Glenn (Stick).

Season 1 of the series saw veteran actor Vincent D’Onofrio turn in a memorable performance as Wilson Fisk, a crime kingpin who planned to use money from his illegal enterprises to rebuild Hell’s Kitchen in his own image. Toby Leonard Moore, who played Fisk’s right hand man James Wesley, recently joined the Showtime series “Billions.”

“Daredevil” is executive produced by series’ co-showrunners Marco Ramirez and Douglas Petrie, along with Jeph Loeb, who also serves as Marvel’s head of television.

“Daredevil” Season 2 will premiere on Netflix March 18.
