David Unger Joins Three Six Zero Group, Agency to Partner With Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Talent agent joins Mark Gillespie and Dean Wilson to expand company’s existing music roster with actors, writers and director

Talent agent David Unger has joined Mark Gillespie and Dean Wilson of Three Six Zero Group to form the expanded agency Three Six Zero Entertainment. The new venture will operate in partnership with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Three Six Zero boasts a large music roster, and with Unger will expand with actors, writers and directors as well, providing talent and literary management. They will also offer financial and branding advisory services to Hollywood and media industries.

“The authenticity of engagement with a young audience has already been well established by Three Six Zero, we will now expand to meet the need for international talent in the areas of film and television,” Unger said in a statement.

Founded in 2007, the company joined forces with Jay-Z, a.k.a. Shawn Carter, in 2010. Current clients include Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean and Deadmau5. They have a previously announced development deal with HBO for a series focusing on the world of electronic music.

“Three Six Zero Group is a phenomenal visionary and ground breaking partner to Roc Nation,” said Jay Brown, Roc Nation co-founder and CEO. “Mark and Dean and the Three Six Zero family have achieved tremendous success in music and now Three Six Zero Entertainment will expand their potential in film and television.”

Unger has previously held positions at ICM and London-based Resolution.
