"How Do You Know" star Reese Witherspoon is engaged to CAA agent Jim Toth, the Oscar-winning actress' publicist has confirmed to TheWrap.

Witherspoon and Toth began dating around January 2010 after she split from her "Rendition" co-star Jake Gyllenhaal. The duo went public with their relationship in March.

Witherspoon has two children from her previous marriage to her "Cruel Intentions" co-star Ryan Phillippe. They got divorced in 2008 after seven years together.

Toth recently stayed in with Witherspoon's kids in L.A. while she filmed "This Means War" in Vancouver.

Toth is the co-head of the motion picture talent department at CAA, which represents Witherspoon, although Toth leaves her career in the able hands of agency partner Bryan Lourd. Instead, Toth represents other comely young starlets including Scarlett Johansson, Amber Heard, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rachel Bilson and Kat Dennings.

Witherspoon next stars opposite Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz in 20th Century Fox's big-screen adaptation of Sara Gruen's novel "Water for Elephants." She's also developing "The Pioneer Woman," a romantic comedy based on Ree Drummond's popular blog.

Witherspoon joins Natalie Portman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Leann Rimes and Hugh Hefner among the celebrities who have announced engagements in the past few days.
