‘Doctor Who’ Unveils First Look at ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Maisie Williams in Action (Video)

Clip is not for the claustrophobic — but definitely for “GoT” super-fans

When “Games of Thrones” star Maisie Williams guests on “Doctor Who,” things are going to be intense.

In the first-look clip from the highly anticipated two-episode arc, Williams’ character joins Clare (Jenna Coleman) in desperately trying to escape a death chamber. The duo appears set to be crushed along with a bunch of Vikings before the preview of the episode titled “The Girl Who Died” reaches its title card conclusion.

On the first episode of the two-part story, which premieres Saturday, the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara must train the warriors to defend themselves against the galaxy’s most deadly army. Williams plays a Viking girl who seems to have better sense than the legendary combatants.

The episode was written by Jamie Mathieson (“Being Human”) and lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat (“Sherlock”), directed by Ed Bazalgette (“Poldark”)The series is a BBC Cymru Wales production for BBC One and a BBC America co-production.

New episodes of “Doctor Who” run Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
