Rick Joyce has been named co-executive producer of “Entertainment Tonight.”

Executive producer Brad Bessey announced Tuesday that Joyce will rejoin the newsmagazine program after previously spending a decade in various positions on the show, including stints as news director and managing editor.

Joyce most recently developed and executive produced “The List,” a lifestyle newsmagazine that launched in 2012.

“Rick Joyce was one of the first people I called when I became executive producer of ET,” Bessey said in a statement. “We have a shorthand, a shared history and I respect him as a leader and an innovator. Bringing Rick on board as co-executive producer is an investment in our brand’s continued leadership, growth and evolution.”

Produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, “Entertainment Tonight” is hosted by Nancy O’Dell and Kevin Frazier and executive produced by Bessey. Nischelle Turner is a correspondent with Cameron Mathison and Samantha Harris serving as correspondents and co-anchors of “Entertainment Tonight Weekend.”
