Two weeks into its run, “Second Chance” is being moved to 9 p.m. ET Friday.

The Fox drama premiered Jan. 13 and had aired for its first two outings in the 9 p.m. Wednesday timeslot previously occupied by the network’s biggest hit, “Empire.” Starting next week, that spot on the schedule will be occupied by “Hell’s Kitchen,” which had been airing at 9 p.m. on Fridays.

“Hell’s Kitchen” will now enjoy a lead-in from “American Idol.”

“Second Chance” will next week follow the season finale of MasterChef Junior. Beginning Feb. 5, it will follow “Sleepy Hollow,” which returns from its midseason hiatus.

“Second Chance” premiered to a 1.2 live-plus-same day Nielsen rating in the advertiser coveted adults 18-49 demo. It fell 17 percent in its second week.
