Frances Bean Cobain has filed for divorce from her husband of 21 months, Isaiah Silva, and the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is determined to protect her father’s $450 million fortune through the split.

In divorce documents filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, Cobain, 23, asks that all premarital assets including her inheritance be awarded to her as separate property.

Cobain married The Eeries frontman in a private ceremony on June 29, 2014, and reportedly didn’t even invite her mother, Courtney Love (above right), to the wedding.

The reason for divorce is cited as irreconcilable differences and while Cobain is paying spousal support to Silva, 31, she wants to ensure that he will not receive any of her dad’s $450-million estate.

“Petitioner requests that all gifts, inheritance, bequests and all other pre-marital assets, and all of her post-separation earnings, and acquisitions … be awarded to her as her separate property.”

Cobain was just 2 years old when her music legend father was found dead in his Seattle home on April 8, 1994 from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. Kurt Cobain was just 27 at the time of his death.

Frances Bean Cobain is represented by Neil Freedman of L.A. law firm Webster Kaplan Sprunger, LLP.
