“Game of Thrones” said goodbye to King Robert Baratheon way back in Season 1, but a new fan theory says he may be impacting Westeros yet from beyond the grave.

According to the theory posted on Reddit, the “curse of Robert Baratheon” started in Season 1, Episode 1 when Robert and his royal entourage first arrive at Winterfell. All of the Starks are there to meet him, and Robert hugs or touches several of them — namely Ned, Catelyn, Robb and Rickon.

If this “Game of Thrones” theory is true, it came to fruition this week with the death of Rickon at the hands of Ramsay Bolton. That would also mean Jon Snow is safe, since he wasn’t present when Robert arrived.

However, Robert did ask Arya her name and said a few words to Bran and Sansa. But considering Arya has been beaten up a few times, gone blind, and been repeatedly stabbed, Sansa has been brutalized by multiple men, and Bran has lost the use of his legs, they may be off the hook.

Rickon may have died in this week’s episode, but fans finally got to see justice served when Ramsay gets beaten to a bloody pulp by Jon, and then fed to his own hounds while still alive.
