‘Game of Thrones’ Live Concert Experience: Watch a Preview (Video)

Here’s how to turn an epic TV series into a touring music show

As they say in the touring biz, the “Game of Thrones” Live Concert Experience is coming to a city near you — so long as you don’t actually reside in Westeros, that is.

The “immersive music and visual experience” features series composer Ramin Djawadi, and promises to “take fans through the Seven Kingdoms” via top-of-the-line technology, according to a new teaser shared with the media on Wednesday.

The tour, which will feature orchestra, choir and soloist performances accompanying plenty of video, hits 24 North American cities this year.

The whole thing kicks off February 20 in Minneapolis, Minn. and wraps up Sunday, April 2 in Portland, Ore.

The “GoT” Live Concert Experience is produced by Live Nation, in partnership with HBO Global Licensing.

The HBO show’s epic title track will be played 850 times by the end of the tour, the two companies say. See what else it will take to put on such a spectacle via the teaser above.
