If you think you can get any “Game of Thrones” spoilers out of showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, you better think again.
The two appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Wednesday, and said they have mastered “a thousand different polite ways” to say absolutely nothing about upcoming storylines on the hit HBO show.
Benioff said he even had to brush off fan theories from a UFC fighter.
“He’s a 6’7” Dutch guy, and he says, ‘Here’s what I think is going to happen,’” Benioff explained. While Benioff was scared what would happen if he didn’t confirm or deny the man’s theories, he nevertheless remained true to his show.
“I’m just kind of like scared because I don’t want to do anything that’s going to be insulting to him,” Benioff said. “He’s just telling me these outlandish theories about where it’s going to go and I’m just like ‘Yeah, yeah. Maybe.’”
The two also said they had to prove their knowledge of the book series to author George R.R. Martin before he would allow them to go forward with the show.

Clearly Benioff and Weiss got the question right, but good luck getting the answer from them.
