Old ‘Ghostbusters’ Team Up With New Cast on Kimmel: ‘These Girls Were Funny’ (Video)

Reboot of classic comedy hits theaters on July 15

Who you gonna call? Every Ghostbuster ever, that’s who.

The cast from the original movies appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday night alongside the all-female cast from Sony’s upcoming reboot.

Kimmel asked Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts why they decided to get on board this project after so many attempts to do another “Ghostbusters” film.

“It was only because I knew these girls were funny,” Murray said of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. “I feel like a stepfather to the whole thing, but there is just no quit in these girls.”

The original cast all have cameos in the new film, which also stars Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Charles Dance.

The “Ghostbusters” reboot will slime its way into theaters on July 15.
