We don’t know what’s going on between Katy Perry and Britney Spears, but Katy threw some major shade at her fellow pop star on the Grammy red carpet.
Perry had taken a break from music and during an interview with E!’s Ryan Seacrest, the host commented that the “Chained to the Rhythm” artist is “back to the music.”
“That’s called taking care of your mental health,” said Perry before Seacrest asked her how that was going.
“I haven’t shaved my head yet,” said the 32-year-old artist, alluding to Spears’ infamous 2007 meltdown.
But the shade didn’t stop there. According to the Huffington Post, the “Dark Horse” singer repeated the joke in another interview, saying that after changing her hair color so many times all that would be left to do is shave her head — which she’s “saving for a very public breakdown.”
Twitter was not having it with Perry’s comments on the pop star.
“Actual footage of Katy Perry reaching for attention with these Britney/Mental Health jokes,” said one Twitter user while commenting that the “Roar” artist’s outfit is “puke” anyways.

Another social media user said that it was ironic that Perry was mocking Spears’ breakdown when she herself was taking a break for “mental health” reasons.
“When Katy Perry says she took a mental health break but shades Britney’s hard time. Good luck with your new album,” wrote the Twitter user.
