GREY'S ANATOMY – "In The Air Tonight" (ABC/Mitchell Haaseth) JEE YOUNG HAN, MARTIN HENDERSON, ELLEN POMPEO

(Spoiler alert: Please do not read on if  you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy”)

Caution: Do not watch Thursday night’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” if you have a fear of flying … or don’t want to develop a new one.

Shonda Rhimes’ medical drama is filled with, well, drama — we’ve seen our favorite characters die horrible deaths, we’ve had to go through a ridiculous amount of heartbreaks and just a whole bunch of unnecessary stress, but what we did not sign up for was developing a new phobia.

“In the Air Tonight” had Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) on an airplane with Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) as the two were headed to a medical conference. Everything seemed to be nice and dandy, but because this is a drama and Rhimes likes to play with our emotions, it all went to hell real quick.

The plane experienced some horrible turbulence where passengers sustained pretty serious injuries and we were all reminded of that gruesome plane crash that happened in Season 8. You know, the one were Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) dies and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) loses a limb and everything was just super gory?

Well thankfully, the plane didn’t crash and no one died.

But we all got some terrible flashbacks to that time when we all promised ourselves that we’d never get on a plane again. And if we weren’t scared of flying prior to tonight’s episode we sure are now, because what are the chances of Meredith being on two flights with insane turbulence and almost dying twice?

“Grey’s Anatomy” airs Thursdays on ABC at 8 p.m.
