‘How I Met Your Mother’ Creators Get Romantic Comedy Pilot Order From CBS

Show is based on web series “7P/10E”

CBS has ordered a new long distance relationship comedy pilot from “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, TheWrap has learned.

The show, currently titled “My Time/Your Time,” chronicles the relationship between a young couple as they begin dating long distance. It’s based on the web series “7P/10E” by Avital Ash.

Hilary Winston is writing and executive producing the series, with Bays and Thomas also executive producing. CBS Television Studios is producing in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Earlier on Tuesday, CBS also gave pilot orders to two other shows. “Drew” follows famed child detective Nancy Drew, now a detective for the NYPD in her 30s, as she investigates and solves crimes using her uncanny observational skills, all while navigating the complexities of life in a modern world.

Joan Rather and Tony Phelan will write and executive produce that pilot, with Dan Jinks also executive producing. CBS Television Studios will produce.

The network also ordered a pilot for a new comedy based on the Australian series “Upper Middle Bogan.” In the untitled show, a wife and mother learns she was adopted and that her birth parents are a flamboyant but loving family of drag racers.

Dan O’Shannon, Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope are writing and executive producing the pilot. Todd Holland will also executive produce. CBS Television Studio is producing in association with ABC Studios and Dark Toy Entertainment.
