Hozier, Nick Jonas, Sam Smith to Perform at 2015 Billboard Music Awards

ABC will air the annual award show on May 17

Hozier, Nick Jonas, and Sam Smith will all perform at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Dick Clark Productions and Billboard announced Tuesday.

Thee three join previously announced musical performers Fall Out Boy featuring Wiz Khalifa, along with event hosts Chrissy Teigen and Ludacris.

Hozier’s single “Take Me To Church” hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Rock Songs.

Nick Jonas came into his own in 2014 with his self-titled album, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and spawned his first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with “Jealous” and top-20 follow-up “Chains.”

Sam Smith’s debut studio album “In the Lonely Hour” reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and has spun off three Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits: “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not the Only One” and “Lay Me Down.”

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and other online music services.

The awards are based on the reporting period of March 10, 2014 through March 8, 2015.

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 17, on ABC from 8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. ET.
