Idris Elba may not be taking on the role of James Bond — yet — but he is teaming up with former Bond theme singer, Madonna.

The “Luther” and “Beasts of No Nation” actor will show off his skills as a DJ, rapper and producer to open her “Rebel Heart” Tour stop at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday.

Best known for his gritty film and TV roles, the Golden Globe winner has also done DJ gigs in Ibiza and at Britain’s Glastonbury Music Festival.

Elba follows in the footsteps of previous famous opening acts including Amy Schumer, plus DJs Diplo, and Lunice.

Madonna‘s Rebel Heart tour launched last week in Europe and will make stops in 11 countries before returning to North America and moving on to Asia, Australia and New Zealand in 2016.

Elba will soon be seen back in a more familiar role on “Luther.”

BBC America announced Thursday that he will return as tormented London police detective, John Luther, for a three-hour movie special on Dec. 17 at 9 p.m.
