We’ve all laughed at Google Translate’s results sometimes, so Jimmy Fallon took popular song lyrics and made “The Dark Tower” star Idris Elba sing the translated versions — and it will both melt your heart and have you laughing hysterically.
On Monday’s episode of “The Tonight Show,” Fallon told audiences that Google Translate isn’t always perfect. In fact, when you translate his show name to Latvian and back, it will translate to, “This is Jimmy Fallon‘s show tonight.”
Elba first sang “Baby Got Back,” which went from “I like big butts and I cannot lie” to “I love large saplings that is the truth.” Fallon was up next and sang Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” which is now called “Meet My Kids.”
“Here is a kid who should have informed me that my stuff had gone missing,” Fallon sang instead of the opening lyrics of the original song. “Here is a kid who have been kept hidden and now that kid is blind, yeah.”
Elba and Fallon then performed a duet of “I’ll Make Love to You” as the grand finale, and both singers got really into it as they sang: “I’ll place kindness on you to your likeness, yes” — instead of “I’ll make love to you when you want me to.”
