Jerry Greer, the 19-year-old son of country star Craig Morgan, was found dead in the Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

“The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss,” Black River Entertainment said in a statement Monday night.

Greer was reported missing on Sunday while tubing on the water with a teenage friend. He is said to have been wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.

“It was just as simple as hitting a wave and turning over and not coming back up,” Sheriff Chris Davis told local reporters Monday afternoon.

Morgan, who has had several Top 10 country hits to his name, is also the host of “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors” on the Outdoor Channel. The “My Kind of Livin” singer is married to Karen Greer and the couple has three other children.
