Jim Carrey did not hold back his anger over vaccinations on Tuesday when he unleashed his wrath on Twitter.

“California Gov says yes to poisoning more children with mercury and aluminum in manditory vaccines. This corporate fascist must be stopped,” the “Dumb and Dumber” actor wrote.

Carrey was referring to the controversial law that was passed earlier in the day by Gov. Jerry Brown eliminating the state’s previous exemptions from vaccinations for personal or religious beliefs. The new ruling requires mandatory vaccinations for nearly every school child in the state.

“The science is clear that vaccines dramatically protect children against a number of infectious and dangerous diseases. While it’s true that no medical intervention is without risk, the evidence shows that immunization powerfully benefits and protects the community,” Gov. Brown said as he signed the bill.

The comedian has been a crusader against vaccinations since his relationship with Jenny McCarthy, who believed her son’s autism was caused by them.

After his initial damning statement on Twitter, Carrey continued to voice his opinion on the issue in a string of messages stating that he is “not anti-vaccine. I am anti-thimerosal, anti-mercury. They have taken some of the mercury laden thimerosal out of vaccines. NOT ALL!”

Carrey spoke out against the proposed law earlier in the week before it was passed, writing: “Greed trumps reason again as Gov Brown moves closer to signing vaccine law in Cali. Sorry kids. It’s just business.”

Several other celebrities including Kirstie Alley, Selma Blair and and Jenna Elfman have also voiced their opposition of the bill.
