Jimmy Kimmel Kicks Off March Madness Sweet 16 With ‘Lie Witness News’ (Video)

“I like University of Phoenix,” one woman pretending to be a fan of the NCAA event said

The Sweet 16 portion of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament kicks off on Thursday as March Madness rolls on, and Jimmy Kimmel found a lot of people who know nothing about it willing to weigh in during the latest edition of “Lie Witness News.”

One woman who “loves basketball” said she was rooting for University of Phoenix to topple rival online educator DeVry, and thought “Fresno Cosmotology Academy” had a shot at winning the entire tournament.

It only got more ridiculous from there.

One young woman named Priscilla thought Gonzaga University went too far by recruiting an 8-year-old player named “Justin Credible.”

“It’s weird, because you don’t normally see 8 year olds [on the court],” she said while being interviewed on Hollywood Blvd. “I think he did amazing. He’s a really good player.”

Priscilla’s boyfriend, who she said was with her while watching Mr. Incredible, has no doubt the 8-year-old collegiate athlete could “probably” beat him on the court.

Then there’s Kanye West and his “inappropriate” half-time show.

Watch the video.
