Jimmy Kimmel to Trump: ‘Go Back to Golfing Before You Kill All of Us’ (Video)

“Basically, we’re one Trump toilet tweet away from being the United States of Florida,” says ABC’s late night host

Jimmy Kimmel gave voice to growing concerns among many Americans on Tuesday night’s “JimmyKimmel Live!” He said that on the beautiful Southern California day, he found himself “suddenly Google searching ways to survive a nuclear attack.”

“FYI, there are no ways, it turns out,” the late night host told the audience.

“President Trump today took a break from his vacation to issue this extraordinary threat to North Korea,” the host said in his opening monologue, cutting to video of Trump saying, “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”

Kimmel–and other late night hosts–had the nuclear threat of North Korea front and center in their programming after news broke Tuesday that the country successfully miniaturized a nuclear warhead that could fit onto a missile.

“So, as you can see, the vacation is really relaxing him,” Kimmel said. “Go back to golfing before you kill all of us.”

“U.S. intelligence, by the way, assessed that North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that could potentially reach California, Oregon and Washington, three states that didn’t vote for, guess who, by the way,” Kimmel continued.

The late night host also pointed out Kellyanne Conway in the video of Trump’s statement. “That is the face of someone who just realized she has to wake up at 4 a.m. tomorrow to defend this all day.”

“Basically, we’re one Trump toilet tweet away from being the United States of Florida,” Kimmel said later in the monologue.
