‘Jurassic World’ Parody Trailer Suggests It Might Be the Same Movie as ‘Jurassic Park’ (Video)

Let’s hope it’s just an intentional homage to the movie that launched a billion-dollar franchise

It’s been over 20 years since Steven Spielberg‘s “Jurassic Park” became a cinematic classic, and the first trailer for “Jurassic World” suggests the filmmakers wanted to capture some of the same magic by intentionally modeling it after the first blockbuster adventure.

A new trailer parody, however, warns that it might be “pretty much the same movie.”

The “Look familiar?” edition of the highly anticipated first look at the fourth installment in the Universal franchise juxtaposes the new trailer with very similar moments from “Jurassic Park.”

You might have noticed some of the trailer’s obvious homages to the original, such as the gates to the park, a vehicle cruising alongside massive brontosauruses and a public feeding demonstration, but there appear to be many, many more.

Watch the video to decide for yourself if audiences should be worried that filmmakers might have borrowed too heavily from the first, or are simply trying to honor what came before.
