West drops the line in his new song “Famous”
Taylor Swift fans are banding together to lash out against Kanye West on Twitter for calling the singer a “bitch” in his new song “Famous.”
Swifties called West a “low life pig” as well as an “ego maniac” in response to the “Life of Pablo” track he debuted at his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York on Thursday. “Orange Is the New Black” star Ruby Rose joined a number of Hollywood stars who aren’t happy with West, either.
“Too many lines crossed. If I put myself in the shoes of the women he has hurt recently. Victims of Bill Cosby, The Slut shaming, Amber…,” the actress tweeted.
The lyric in question goes, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? Because I made that bitch famous.” On Friday, West posted a series of tweets in which he claimed he “did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her” and that he “called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings.”
“I’m not even gone take credit for the idea… it’s actually something Taylor came up with … She was having dinner with one of our friends who’s name I will keep out of this and she told him … I can’t be mad at Kanye because he made me famous!” West wrote.
However, Swift’s representative said otherwise. “[She] cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous,'” the spokesperson said.

So, Kanye thinks he made Taylor famous because of what exactly? Interrupting her while she was winning an award? OK, that makes sense… — Mario Lopez (@MarioLopezExtra) February 12, 2016
